According to Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the deputy chairman of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) group, when speaking to Al Jazeera, he stated that the former prime minister has not been permitted to meet with his attorneys for the past two days.
He stated that the leadership of the party is “extremely concerned” about Khan’s health and well-being.
The protection and well-being of Khan is our first priority. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Qureshi, who is additionally an EX foreign minister of Pakistan, stated that “we possess reasons for believing his life may be under threat.” I urge the higher courts of the country to take note, and we have faith that justice would prevail.
According to Qureshi, the jail in the Punjab region where Khan was being held does not have the necessary amenities, which are required to be provided to him because of his status as a former prime minister.
