Not only Smartphones’ revenues are growing year after year, the downloading platforms of Android and iOS also in the race of getting heavy grossing.
Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store is noticed a very sharp growth in revenues. Android’s downloading platform Google Play Store app revenue was around $ 1.8 billion in the Q4 2015. However, the Play Store’s growth increased up to 82% ($ 3.3 billion) in the Q4 2016.
Apple’s App Store has earn the total revenue of $ 5.4 billion in the Q4 2016 as compared to the last year’s income of $ 3.4 billion. App Store increased its downloading revenue up to 60%.
An estimated combined total of 19.2 billion apps have been installed in Q4 2016, a modest increase of 17% has recorded as compared to the same time period of 2015.
